Parent Code of Conduct

Families are an important part of every Flag Prospect Series event, and we are glad you are there to support your athlete. Our combines are evaluation events: athletes are being measured, tested and (sometimes) filmed in a standardized setting so coaches can compare them fairly. This Code of Conduct explains what we ask of parents, guardians and anyone attending with your athlete so every participant has the same focused experience.

By registering an athlete, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. It is part of the Registration Terms, Conditions & Consent you accept at registration.

Support your athlete, and every athlete

  • There is no cheering allowed. Be positive, encouraging and respectful toward all participants during any breaks - and especially afterward. They know the pressure. They're ready. Don't add any unnecessary stress.
  • Remember that athletes of all experience levels are here to learn and be evaluated. Comments about any athlete's performance, size or ability have no place at our events.
  • Model the sportsmanship you hope to see on the field.

Let our staff run the event

  • Stay in the designated spectator areas and out of the testing, drill and competition areas at all times. We will let you know of alternate spots to observe.
  • Do not coach or instruct athletes from the sideline during testing, drills or competitive reps. Athletes are being evaluated on what they do on their own.
  • Follow the directions of event staff, evaluators and venue personnel.
  • Questions or concerns during the event should go to a staff member calmly and privately, not to athletes, other families or coaches in attendance.

Respect staff, officials and other families

  • Treat staff, officials, evaluators, volunteers and venue employees with courtesy. Verbal abuse, threats or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Do not approach or interfere with other athletes or other families.
  • Respect the venue. Follow all facility rules and leave the area clean.

No personal filming or recording

Flag Prospect Series provides professionally captured video and an athlete profile as part of registration. To keep the evaluation environment distraction-free and to protect the privacy of every athlete, parents, guardians and spectators may not film or record the event. Please keep phones and cameras put away during testing, drills and competition. Pre- and post-event photos and video are more than welcome!

College coaches and recruiters

College coaches and recruiting personnel may be in attendance. Please give them space to evaluate. Athletes are evaluated through their performance and the verified data on their profile, and the best way to connect with coaches is through that profile after the event.

Safety and wellness

  • Athletes should not participate if they are injured or ill. Let a staff member know right away if your athlete is hurt during the event.
  • Keep your athlete hydrated and prepared for the weather. Follow staff instructions during any weather delay or schedule change.

What happens if the Code of Conduct is not followed

Flag Prospect Series reserves the right to ask any parent, guardian or spectator to leave an event, and to remove an athlete from an event without refund or credit, for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, abusive or otherwise inconsistent with this Code of Conduct and the values of Flag Prospect Series.
